Irene has successfully coached many Manitoba dressage riders and improved their position, balance, aids and taken them to a higher level in their riding ability. Irene is a very positive, constructive coach - not only do the riders love her, but the horses also respond to her kind, sensitive nature. Horse and rider leave each day's ride having achieved more than they ever expected.

Friday, June 18, Educate your Eye - An informal and humorous Educate Your Eye clinic. Demonstrations of correct and incorrect riding & training; horses on and off the bit; half halts (what are half halts?) as they should and shouldn't be ridden; transitions ridden on and off the forehand etc. etc. Time: 7:00 - 9:00 Location: StoneHill Farm Arena Cost: 10.00 for the presentation, or $ 15.00 for the presentation and spectator fee for Saturday and Sunday - Bring a lawn chair - Pre registration is appreciated
Friday, October 8, Training with Cavelletti and Interval Training Techniques - Joan will give us some alternatives for schooling during the long winter in the arena! Time 7:00 to 9:00 Location: StoneHill Farm Arena Cost: $ 10:00 for the presentation or $15.00 for the presentation and includes spectator fee for Saturday and Sunday - Bring a lawn chair - Pre registration is appreciated
Thursday, September 23, Yoga Fitness for the Equestrian - Carmen Fisher of the Zen Zone in Brandon will lead us through a workout targeting specific issues related to riders. Carmen is a certified Fitness Trainer and has been certified in Hatha Yoga. Preregistration is required - SPACE IS LIMITED! Time 7:00 - 8:30 Location: The Zen Zone Cost: $ 15.00, includes a mat if you don't have one of your own. Bring water, and a towel and wear comfortable clothes.

Dressage Clinic with Eddo Hoekstra
Date - October 2nd & 3rd, 2010
Location - Neudorf Arena, Edwin, MB
Price: $175.00 per 50 minute private lesson. Cost includes instruction fee, facility fee, clinician air fare, auditing fee for weekend & camping fee.
Eddo Hoekstra initially from Holland now resides in Ontario. He is the founder of Hoekstra Dressage Inc. Their mission statement is to promote the art of dressage thru high quality dressage clinics from Basics to Grand Prix Level.
Eddo has competed Internationally PSG and I-1 and Nationally at Grand Prix.Eddo has been influenced by Jan Kluijtmans from Holland. He has trained with George Williams, Eric Lette, Robert Dover and other top coaches. These coaches have all influenced Eddo's training philosophies.
The last five years he has ridden with Walter Zetl. This year he attended the Parrelli Centre with Walter Zetl to continue his pursuit of equine knowledge. Eddo believes in the ongoing development of both horse and rider.
