Rider Spotlight - August 2024
Each month, Dressage Winnipeg will highlight one of our members.
Taylor Butcher
Taylor’s first riding experiences occurred at Meadow Green Stables doing summer camps in 2019. The very first day she remembers falling in love with horses and all the animals at the barn and all she wanted to do was ride. Taylor did summer camp again in 2020 as well. After that she begged her parents to let her start lessons. Taylor spent many hours at Meadow Green learning the basics and spending time with the animals. After a few years of lessons, Taylor found a passion in dressage when she met her coach, Julia Roblin. Since then, Taylor has had the opportunity to ride many horses varying from young green horses to school masters. Taylor has made many friends through the horse community. She currently rides at Bella Vida Stables on an awesome horse named Boo. They have been partners for only a few months and both of them recently debuted at the Dressage Winnipeg show, where they received 71% on one of their tests! Taylor’s goals for the future are to keep moving up in the levels and improving her knowledge about horses!
