Rider Spotlight - September 2024
Each month, Dressage Winnipeg will highlight one of our members.
Norah Friesen
Norah's love of horses began when she was ten years old, taking weekly lessons at Sagehill Stables on a variety of school horses and volunteering at summer camp. Norah and her horse Never Ending’s (AKA Finn) partnership began in 2021 with a focus on the hunter jumper discipline. The following year, Norah's parents purchased Finn as a surprise Christmas gift. Norah and Finn board at FieldCrest stables in Oakbank. Since then, Norah has experienced the ups and downs of horse ownership and the introduction to the art of dressage. Over the past six months Norah and Finn have found a new passion for dressage through the guidance of Jaime Hasiuk and have attended two Dressage Winnipeg shows, with a highlight of Junior Bronze Training Level Champion at the last show. Norah is currently schooling training and 1st level movements at home and her goal is to progress up the levels in the coming years.
