Rider Spotlight - March 2024
Each month, Dressage Winnipeg will highlight one of our members.
Jolene de Vries
Jolene de Vries is an adult amateur who returned to the equestrian world 6 years ago under the guidance of her Coach D.J. Cairns.
Jolene is the President of the Prairie Sport Horse Association in SE Sask and also owns 3 Anytime Fitness Clubs.
Jolene started competing in dressage in 2021 on her horse Tex. They received Bronze Training Level Provincial Champion in Saskatchewan in 2021 and this past year debuted at second level. Last Year Jolene and Tex received Dressage Winnipeg’s 2nd Level High Point Award and since 2021 has also received SHF Athlete Assistance Grants each year.
This year Jolene’s goal is debuting at 3rd level later in the year on her horse Tex and bringing along her 4 year old Andalusian, Odin, to gain his first show experiences.
